Oddly enough, I'm considering becoming a Mentor once I hit 30. *shrug* Maybe I can help a handful of those noobs find the right path in the game. Meanwhile, I can turn Mentor status on and off as I wish. :) Oh! And I retain the right to be a complete ass when I want to.

I personally only feel nice enough to help the newbs in our clan ;-)

Also, most Mentors I've met are jerks and tend to give Mentors a bad name. That's anothe reason I've never done it.

But please prove that generalization wrong, Rap. I'd love to know one Mentor that wasnt a jerk ;-)

Mentors suck

I have to agree, most of the "mentors" I've met are anything but. They tend to be stuck up pricks who really don't know what they are doing.

For example, in EVERY party I've ever been in which had a mentor in it, they always wound up trying to take command of the party. I even had one guy tell me "You newb! You need to listen to me because I'm a mentor!" A quick /sea of the guy discovered he was Rank 2, while I was Rank 5 at the time.

Pardon my french, but mentor doesnt mean shite ;-)
