tentative Even-Monday CoP Event
Submitted by Tamara on Tue, 02/07/2006 - 12:57.

There is a tentative Even-Monday CoP Event on February 20th. I do not know who will be hosting but it will not be me.

The Chains of Promathia expansion was released in Sept of 2004 so it has been out for a while. With this in mind I thought some players might enjoy attempting to crack the earlier portions of the expansion and I started Even-Mondays CoP Events. We have had good CoP Events and just so-so CoP Events.

Here are the Missions in Chains of Promathia:

The expansion of course contains other content than just missions – quests for example.

I personally feel I have gotten entertainment value out of the expansion but I am not one for rapid leveling - consequently two years into the game my highest level job is just level 52. Taking note of the fact that my next Mission "The Road Forks" wants me to fight a level 62 Overgrown Ivy I feel the time has come to set CoP aside and let someone else trim the Ivy =^_^=

The CoP Missions also seem to be increasing in difficulty and so if anyone else wants to pick up the mantle of CoP Host/Hostess be aware some of these Missions are beyond what the typical Clan member may want to prepare for (translation: expect declining interest in CoP Missions).

This thread is for those Clan who:
o want to continue to proceed in CoP with Clan help
o are the sort who access this web site for good info
o are willing to post to a thread (not just browse)

This thread is for you to organize your February 20th CoP needs.

Willing to Help Out

Mithra WHM42/SMN21 willing to help out with CoP Quests and Missions.

On most Mondays at 8PM Eastern I will come online to see if anyone in the Clan needs/wants/desires help with those portions of CoP I have some familiarity with. I will not be Party Leader but I am willing to be Alliance Pathfinder (selecting a ‘decent’ route to the goal).

We Mithra can be finicky felines – if it seems like you have not done your homework or your group appears ill-prepared I will just remain in town, thank-you very much! The Mammet Fights require more than a couple of Apple Pies and Meat Mithkabobs, for example =~_^=

With the above in mind Meretrix is interested in fishing for Fishtraps to complete a CoP Quest in Bastok; also there is another Bastok Quest which requires heading into Movalpolis – is anyone up for starting one of these quests at 10PM Eastern on February 13th?

=^_^=

Oldton Moval...

I assume Trix needs the Magicked Steel Ingot. I can certainly help out with that, although 10PM EST may be a bit too late for me. Perhaps we can switch to an alternate time or date?

As far as leading up events go, I will poll the clan members I know are through CoP 2-5 and see what the interest is. I would really like for these events to continue and would also like to get further into CoP. But, I will leave that to the majority.

Trix's schedule

Trix is in Arizona and generally works until 8pm (or later?) his time. This means 10pm EST (or later) is when he leaves work.

For helping Trix out with stuff like this, the weekends typically work the best, unless you're some sort of nocturnal night owl :-)

Weekends..

Sounds good. Can we aim for Saturday afternoons? If that workds for all...

Works for me...

Should work for Trix provided we can give him heads up...

Monday Night Quests

I originally posted Replies here in order to suggest something low-key for Monday Nights, my observation being that Missions were getting long and tedious. I was suggesting Quests as a low-key replacement.

Also Meretrix had mentioned a Bastok Moblin Quest to me, and I erroneously thought the Moblins were added as part of CoP. At this point I realize I honestly don't recall if Moblins are CoP or were added during a patch.

Though Meretrix wants to do a Bastok Moblin Quest the mithra also wants to scale back on online time on Monday Nights (as I understand it). In addition we are both level 52 or lower and so we got more Moblin aggro than we could handle while investigating Movolopolis (sp?) last night.

So my suggestion/thread for Monday Nights is now finished and I no longer have any idea what Meretrix is contemplating for this Bastok Quest =^_^=

*** back to the Thread's Original Purpose for Being ***

This thread was ORIGINALLY posted to see if anyone else wanted to host leading up an Even-Monday CoP Event. No one has yet replied stating they would be up for such a challenge.

One person online stopped to chat and did suggest they enjoyed participating in what I was hosting on Even-Monday CoP's but I perceive a serious flaw to hosting Weekday Clan Events which I really do not have an answer for:
a) there are West-Coast/Mountain individuals who are fun to have in the party (like Meretrix)
b) my Events almost never begin on time due to a lack of individuals for a winnable quorum.
For Example the Minotaur Run began 70 minutes late, though I was deep inside the Aqueducts an hour early (two hours wait admiring the Aqueduct Walls for me).
c) By the time we eventually can get underway on week nights the Mountain and West-Coast people are coming online and declaring they want to join = yet more delays.

So, in conclusion, I don't know if there are going to be anymore Weekday Evening Activities. The people who are willing to lead such Activities are East-Coast, and to a person they are all a bit tired (literally tired) of losing out on sleep.

So on Monday at 8PM Eastern I need to remind myself to come online and see if anyone wants help with a CoP-oriented quest, but is there something officially scheduled? - I don't know of such.

=^_^=

3-3

We should do 3-3 then as well. 3-3 wont be hard for Cyc and me to do ourselves... but Trix knows his way around that damned mountain better than me and he could streamline it :-)
