Me and Kaliv got extremely lucky with the whole tornado thing (read my blog if you dont know what I am talking about). We went to the property manager of the place we were going to rent next August to see if we could maybe push the lease up to May. Turns out, there was an empty one, exactly the same size and everything as the one we wanted for August! So, we were able to move in that day.

So I was only homeless for a few days. Wasn't even enough time to wallpaper my cardboard box hous...no, cardboard box castle. I spent a lot of time picking it out too....

More good news, cable man is comming Friday April 21! That means we can make the event! I would hate trying to find a pickup party to do this quest.

I will show up for this Event but I am not going to lead it if Cyclonus is not there. I am not a BLM and I am doing this Event for fun, for me this Event can easily wait an additional week.

An extra week might turn out to be better for Kaliv and Piskowit too, from what I have seen of working with Cable Companies.

Yes, this has struck quite a few people. Last night I heard from nearly a dozen people in the clan and elsewhere (friends) who are having the exact same problem.

Basically, until this can get resolved, I think our numbers may be rather low.

In discussions with several other ClanAM members, we do not envision this to be any more difficult than fighting an Eye-type coffer mob in Castle Z.

With that said, if I have enough firepower* I am starting at the time listed; not 10 minutes later. So, for those of you that are interested, please make any preparations (sneak oils, food, gear and such) ahead of time.

The trek/fight should take 30-45 mins.

enough firepower: 2 level 70ish melees or 3-4 level 65ish melees with healing magic support.

EST or EDT?

What time does this event start on the East Coast? Most states are using Daylight Savings right now (spring forward one hour). So an EDT state is one hour ahead of an EST state.

Dude, you're so confused.

EST and EDT never change times.

In the fall, you are in EST. In the summer, you are in EDT. The timezones don't change, but the zone you are in does.

What people do to avoid the confusion is just call everything "ET", "PT", etc.

So when you say "7pm EST" and are meaning your local time in NYC then you are really talking about "8pm EDT". This is why I was asking for clarification, because EST, CST, MST and PST are ambiguous on the summer months because so few people really understand what the fuck they mean!

If your state observes DST, then the timezone you are now in is EDT... that hasn't changed, it's nothing new. It's not a new abreviation, it's been used since the dawn of DST. If you don't know about it, then consider this your introduction.

BTW: The fact that you, someone who has lived with DST for so long, do not even understand it, is further proof that it is completely and totally useless. In my opinion, the only two sane states in the US that are left are Arizona and Hawaii, which do not observe DST. I'd suggest you read this and especially this.

PS: Cyc, if you mean "7pm your localtime" then you better go change the post to be "7pm EDT". Otherwise, I (and others) will probably show up an hour late... because, right now you are in EDT, you tool! :-P

I have always posted my start times as EST and no one has ever shown up late (well, not an hour late assuming it was DT). However, I will edit the original post.

I just went around the office - no one from NYC knows wtf DST is at all... apparently most of NYC is in the dark.

*EDIT: Read the links - this is retarded. Point is, unless you leave in AZ or HI, you are still 3 hours behind NY time. IN, which I take it just became EDT/EST is confused (hence this stupid kid running around offering to change clocks) ...

Finally something we can agree on! The stupidity of screwing around with clock settings twice a year and the idiocy of oppressive government!

I simply don't see any advantages of DST at all. The days are longer in the summertime anyway. So even without monkeying around with your clocks, you would still have more daylight for outdoor activities after work in the summertime compared to the winter.

All DST does is effectively force you to get out of bed and go into work an hour earlier everyday. Would you agree to that if it wasn't disguised as "time change" and sugar coated with cutesy euphamisms such as "spring forward" and "fall back"?

I want to join. Me and Kaliv plan on finishing these quests ASAP. I have already done the tarut card quest, In the process of going to Garlaige to burn some trash, alrady finished the Crystal Ball quest, and the next one with the hairpin (Never to return). The only problem I see is getting the Lanolin Cube from the battering ram in La Theine. Hopefully it doesn't take long to get that.

But, I am sure we will have these all completed by April 24. So count us in XD
